The Best Places to Eat Breakfast in Puerto Rico
- No Comments
- SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO
I am far from a “food blogger” but I sure love to eat and food is one of the things I look forward to most on a trip! Typically when I am at home in the states I’m not much of a breakfast person. I can do several hours before I need to eat in the morning. This trip however, may have changed my mind about breakfast so today I’m sharing my recs for the best breakfast in Puerto Rico.
"Breakfast is a meal with an incredible emotional charge. It's a feeling of fellowship that is unlike any other meal of the day."
- Anthony Bourdain
blessings cafe
carr 4466 km 1.1 Bo Bajuras Playa Jobos, Isabela
Located near Jobos Beach, Blessings Cafe was an instant favorite. With its beachy vibe and pink dopamine decor, this adorable spot is an instagrammers dream! The place is small but features both indoor and outdoor seating which I loved.
I got the NY Bagel which was a basic bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was insanely good! My boyfriend got a more traditional style breakfast pictured here which was really good too!
Their cappuccino was a bit too sweet for us but we also ordered a cafe americano that was just right!
Mona
Carr. 107, 00603 Aguadilla
I absolutely loved this place. It is a bit on the pricey side in my opinion for breakfast, but it was delicious. The portions were perfect, and I loved that they combined two of my favorite things…
Mofongo + Eggs Benedict = A++
The Mofongo Benedict was your traditional mofongo with garlic sauce topped with eggs benedict and churrasco. So so good! I highly recommend eating at Mona if you are in the Aguadilla area!
panaderia la campana
Road #2 km 122.1 Bo Corrales Frente a la Escuela Segunda Unidad Adams, Aguadilla 00603 Puerto Rico
On our last day we ate at Panaderia La Campana and we almost passed right by it. I spotted it at the last minute thinking we could grab a quick pastry or something but little did I know they offered a full breakfast!
The food was really good but the portions were way too big for one person, at least IMO. You could easily share one breakfast with two or even three people!
There is also a full service deli as well as vegan and vegetarian options which is a plus!
