If you are a digital creator like me then you probably know that sometimes you just lose your creative spark. Watching too much negativity on TV and in the news doesn’t help either. Facebook is literally my worst enemy so I’ve been trying to not look at it too much. One thing I have been doing is reading…A LOT. As a creator this is one way I like to get those creative juices flowing.
Recently I got several new books that are (in my opinion) the best books for content creators! Even if you are not a creatore these are amazing books to pass the time! Whether you are into photography, fashion, travel, lifestyle or all of the above….these are some great reads that I wish I had picked up sooner! They also make great gifts for your content creator friends!

where to go when
This book is a fantastic resource if you are new to traveling or if you are a seasoned veteran. Back in January, when my friend Megan and I went to Puerto Rico we wanted to see the Pink Lakes in Cabo Rojo and we drove several hours only to find out that the lakes are only pink during summer! I wish we would’ve known that beforehand but lesson learned. Where to Go When will provide you a ton of info on popular travel destinations and when the best times to visit are! It’s definitely a must-have for anyone that loves to travel! The book is arranged from the beginning with January destinations and goes through each month of the year after that, so it really easy to plan a trip any time of year. Hopefully COVID will ease up in 2021 and we can get back to traveling.
instatravel
Written by blogger Aggie Lal from Travel in Her Shoes, InstaTravel is also a great guide for the most instagram-worthy places and everything you need to know for each destination! I’m only part way through this book so far but reading about so many amazing places really just makes me want to hop on a plane and go even more! What I also love about this book is the beginning. Aggie gives you a little insight to her early years as a young girl and how she longed to travel but never thought she could. Then she just went for it! I can totally relate although I am 36. I have spent a good portion of my life thinking I could NOT do certain things but now I have realized that I am the only one holding myself back sometimes!
capture your style
I can’t say enough amazing things about this book! Style Blogger Aimee Song shows you all her tips and tricks for capturing the perfect photo, do’s and don’t of instagram including using hashtags and geotags, how to get a cohesive feed and so much more!
instastyle
Similar to InstaTravel, InstaStyle by Tezza is a comprehensive guide to capturing beautiful fashion-centric shots for your instagram and blog! My blog is mostly fashion so I couldn’t wait to read this book! I haven’t read it cover to cover yet but it’s definitely one of the best books for content creators simply because of everything it offers. It’s given me so many ideas for product shots, angles & layouts, feed ideas and more. Just as with Capture your Style, InstaStyle also gives you tons of real life tips for Instagram! With instagram ever changing I’m also on board for free advise when it comes to the gram.
big magic
This book is actually for anyone, not just bloggers. If you are an entrepreneur, writer, blogger, photographer, etc., this book is for you! In a nutshell I think every woman needs this book. It will encourage you to live your dreams at any ago and just go for your goals. The time to start is now and whatever your dream is, it is up to you to bring it to fruition. After all, if you don’t…your ideas will manifest themselves through someone else! I can’t say much more without spoiling the book so just do yourself a favor and GET THIS BOOK!

Yes I loved Big Magic so much! It was definitely the inspirational push I needed! I also love that the book kept you engaged right from the beginning! Usually if I’m not hooked on page one I won’t keep reading but Big Magic was such a good one!
Great post and gift idea! I stopped scrolling media too because it just wasn’t helping me. These books look great and I can’t wait to check them out.
