How to Create an Outdoor Patio Oasis

Here we are, a few weeks into quarantine and you’re probably going crazy just like me so why not decorate your quarantine space! If you are looking for some outdoor patio inspiration then look no further! I created a this little mood board for how I want my back patio to look and I love it. Since we are quarantined and never fully decorated my outdoor patio, why not now? Creating your own outdoor oasis is super easy and the perfect way to mentally escape quarantine without leaving home!
To achieve this look, choose natural textures for your furniture pieces like bamboo or rattan. Natural materials will give your patio a more exotic tropical feel. I love these rattan egg chairs and the one pictured above is from Target. It is a little pricey at $450 but it does include the main cushions. If you are looking for budget-friendly egg chairs Amazon also has a ton of options! I recently found this one at WalMart too and it’s under $300!

Add pops of color with accents
Once you pick out your furniture you can add pops of color using throw pillows and accent rugs. Both of the pillows pictured above are also from target but you can find great throw pillows anywhere! Cost Plus World market is another one of my favorite places to shop for decor and it’s a boho lovers dream. A lot of people don’t know about this store but it’s nationwide and they have so many unique pieces from around the world! From food to cookware to furniture to clothing…you can literally find everything! Persian style rugs are very popular for boho spaces but can run you a few thousand dollars but I found some great affordable options in Cost Plus that would look amazing on a patio! I also love the rug pictured above but I’m not sure if its for outdoors.
Foliage is also a must for me whether indoors or outdoors. My mom recently told me that she heard that faux plants are bad feng shui but I love them. I do prefer real plants 100% but if you have issues tending to plants and keeping them alive…faux is the way to go! Target has a huge selection of faux plants and trees and so does Cost Plus! Once you have your foliage ….add a few more pieces like some scented candles and BOOM…OUTDOOR OASIS!
