Many thanks to the NOLA Marriott Warehouse Arts District for graciously hosting our stay in exchange for our honest review and content creation. All opinions are my own. Post may also contain affiliate links, earning me a small commission if you click, at no additional cost to you.
Over the years we have been lucky enough to stay at the Marriott several times and we have never been disappointed. When researching where to stay in New Orleans the Marriott was at the top of our list and they graciously agreed to host our recent trip to the Big Easy!
“You find as a writer that there are certain spots on the planet where you write better than others, and I believe in that. And New Orleans is one of them.”

Initially we wanted to stay in the French Quearter but instead we opted to stay at the Warehouse/Arts District location and our stay was absolutely fantastic. I can’t say enough amazing things about them! From, the sleek modern design & ideal location, to the amenities & fantastic service, I can’t say enough amazing things about this property and their hospitality.
location
The hotel is located in the beautiful warehouse/arts district and is only a 10-minute walk from the famed French Quarter. Staying in this neighborhood is actually a great idea because you are close enough to enjoy all of the action NOLA has to offer, yet far enough to still get a peaceful night’s sleep! The neighborhood is also full of beautiful scenery! You can walk in any direction from the hotel and see the most majestic and perfect palm trees. They were so gorgeous they almost looked fake!
ACCOMODATIONS
Like many hotels there are tons of options for accommodations depending on the size of your party. We were lucky enough to stay in one of their Junior Suites. The room itself was spacious, extremely clean and with a beautiful updated mid-century modern design. One of the most amazing things about our stay though was the warm welcoming staff and their attention to details. I mean how cute is it to see your name on the TV when you walk in?!?
We were also treated to some amazing snack including, crackers, fruit, and local cheeses which were absolutely delicious! They even added a bottle of Maker’s Mark which was just what we needed after a 7 hour drive!
common lounge spaces
Throughout the hotel you notice that their newly remodeled design features a mid-century modern style, yet still comfy and cozy. There are several common lounge areas that guests can enjoy including this common space just outside the M Lounge.
Art everywhere
In keeping with the art deco vibe of the hotel the walls are full of beautiful unique canvases and framed art!
An opulent winding staircase
beautiful touches
One of the most beautiful features of the hotel is this gorgeous dramatic winding staircase. It’s a favorite photography spot for guests as well and this mid-century modern chandelier adds just the right amount of glitz and glam!
It’s a great area to also just sit and relax with a magazine or book and enjoy your morning coffee before heading out on the town!
The M Club Lounge
The M club lounge is another gorgeous space the hotel offers. It is an additional fee to add on to your stay but well worth it! The vibe is masculine and moody with a sleek mid-century modern vibe for the decor. The exposed brick gives the space a fun rustic feel too! It has a nostalgic 1940’s feel like a vintage cigar lounge and I could totally picture Frank Sinatra hanging out here!
Fully stocked bar & food options
The hotel also offers a fully stocked bar that also serves up a delicious menu from 3-10 pm if you are looking to have a late night drink but still stay within the comfort of the hotel. 24-hour room service is also available with a full breakfast , lunch & dinner menu available depending on the time you order. Need a morning pick me up? There is also a Starbucks within the hotel for all of you coffee fanatics!
Nearby Attractions
Sure we all want to check out the French Quarter but finding hidden gems away from the crowds is one of my favorite things to do when visiting a new city. For instance, you can take a short walk in any direction when leaving the hotel and you will find trendy side streets lined beautiful galleries and no shortage of dining options.
Peche was actually our favorite place to eat while we were there. The local chef at the Marriott was the one who recomended it and this is THE place to go for amazing seafood! I will share more details though in an upcoming travel guide! Here are a few other local favorites you will love too.
Nightlife:
Howlin’ Wolf, Ugly Dog, Rusty Nail, The Circle Bar, Fulton Alley (bowling), W.I.N.O., Lucy’s, Ernst Café, The District
Restaurants:
Meril, Gianna, Butcher and Cochon, St. James Cheese Company (lunch), Rock N Sake (sushi), Ugly Dog (BBQ and bar), Auction House Market, Flamingo-a-Go-Go, NOSH.
Additional amenities
We only had a few days in NOLA so we didn’t get to enjoy all of the hotel amenities but the hotel does also have a full gym, multiple conference rooms available as well as a small 3rd floor rooftop pool. Unfortunately I didn’t capture any good pool photos because there were too many people at the pool.
In conclusion, the hotel had everything we could ask for with excellent service. If you are looking where to stay in New Orleans and you want a modern upscale option, the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District is a fantastic option! We can’t wait to go back!
