I’ve really missed writing here the last few months but I swear every January and February and even into mid-March I just want to hibernate. This winter was no different. I planned a lot of content but actually failed to post. I really just needed to reset myself and I’ve been working so much on my store I really didn’t have much time. I’ve also been working on a little home project which is my home office. It’s not quite done but I will post a reveal when it is.
For now here is a little bit of what I picked out so far! I want a mix of modern yet boho in the office and I think I’m finally getting my vision to come together. Initially, I wanted a white mid-century modern style desk but solid wood. Let me tell you, it is hard to find modern pieces that are solid wood! Most are wood-veneer or laminate. I almost bought a beautiful solid wood white desk but it was a french provincial style and I wasn’t 100% in love with it.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MY VISION
I’m very picky too and the more overthink things I second guess so I went back to the drawing board. After what felt like months of searching I finally found a modern desk (pictured above) that is solid acacia wood! It is dark wood but it also has cane webbing which gives a nice light contrast. Cane webbing also makes for a total boho feel! Everything I love all in one!
I also knew behind the desk I wanted a focal piece of art and I was searching high and low for the perfect piece. The awesome team over at Enjoy the Wood sent me this amazing 3D wood map! I got the XL size in the Basic option which has the names of each country. It even has holes where you can put pins to mark all your travels! I thought this map would be perfect for my office because I work for Global Roaming Operations for my company! For the rest of the space I plan on adding a small seating area and I’m going to add some colorful touches with plants and flowers! I can’t share much more but stay tuned for the full reveal coming soon!

Omg I love it!!!! Looks so great. That light is amazing. And cane is one of my favorites right now. This is great because it’s not too super feminine that it won’t blend well with the rest of your home. Perfect!!
Yesssssssssssss cane is perfection! I love it! Suprisingly I didn’t think I would want a dark desk but I fell in love with this one! Now I need to find some additional seating so I can make a conversation area ………you need to help me bring it together!
I also think that light fixture wont be in my budget for awhile…LOL ….It’s almost $1200….It will probably be the LAST thing I buy hahahah!
