How to Style a Sweater Vest for Fall

Todays look is a collaboration with several of my blogger friends. For the month of October we are styling a different item each Friday. Last week I showed you a cute look with distressed jeans. Today we are all bringing you some of our favorite vests to wear during fall. I love sweater vests especially in Atlanta because you never know what the weather will bring.
A vest is a great layering piece that you can take off easily if the afternoon gets warm. This chenille sweater vest was a recent loft find and comes in regular and plus sizes. I got the XS/S regular since there was no petite and it still fit really well! I also love that is has pockets and the chenille is so soft.

My combat boots are brand new from Express…….and pair perfectly with this look. Combat boots are one of my favorite things to wear because they never go out of style and you can wear them with jeans or dresses in any season! I’m also wearing a super budget-friendly long sleeve tee that I got for under $10 at Wal-Mart. Ya’ll don’t sleep on Wal-Mart! They are now my go-to for basics since they have stepped up their fashion game 150% this year.

I never ever wear a vest. I think they look frumpy, however…..seeing you and your stylish Friends wearing them, make me change my mind. They don t look frumpy at all! Hope to see you on my Fancy Friday linkup party.

I need more sweater vests in my life, they truly can go with everything! I’ve found some pretty good ones at Nordstrom Rack over the years.
Oh, I haven’t had a sweater vest in quite a while. This looks quite comfy and I miss having a vest like this – perfect for the transition weather.
