Distressed Jeans Casual Outfit

TGIF is all I can say. Yesterday was sad for me because it marks 11 years since my Dad passed away suddenly. I had two shots of whiskey in his honor as we do every year as did most of my family last night. I think about him everyday and what he is missing out on but I did try to be happy yesterday and I managed to put my feelings aside for a bit to get a few photos. This week I also booked flights to Puerto Rico for the hubby and I for late January. This will be our first trip without the kids in a very long time and we deserve a trip just for the two of us!

Outfit details
Now on to my outfit. I shot a casual fall look yesterday for a collaboration with a few other bloggers. For the month of October we are styling a different item on Fridays. This Fridays theme was ripped/distressed jeans. I’ve actually been weeding out the majority of my distressed jeans lately because I can’t wear them to work which is where I am most of the time, so it’s rare I get to wear them. These are the Icon Skinny Jeans by Joe’s and they are on the pricey side. I couldn’t find the exact pair available anymore but I did find an almost identical pair by the same brand only with a frayed bottom hem. What’s even better is they are 65% off and almost all sizes are in stock. Jump on these jeans ladies because you are not going to find Joe’s denim marked that low very often!
My belt is a size XS and I love that it gives a little pop of leopard to spruce up any look. My top is also a new favorite. It comes in petite and regular by I got a regular XS because I wanted a more over-sized fit. The waffle knit is so soft and also keeps you cool because fall in the south right now is still very hot, hence the reason I’m wearing sandals too!
