I Love Skateboarding

Did you guys know that I love skateboarding?  I’m sure most of you didn’t know that because I never really talk about my hobbies outside of fashion.  Skateboarding is just one of the many hobbies I have. Since this is a personal space,  why not share a little bit more about the other things I love.  Most of you know that I am a mama and not one, but both of my kids absolutely love skateboarding.

My husband even skateboards too,  so a few years ago I hopped on one too and fell in love.  As a child, I was never a skateboarder or “skater girl” but as an adult I picked it up very quickly.  There were several falls along the way, including one bad one last summer.  I picked up too much speed going down a hill and had to jump off to avoid being hit by a car.  That was a bad fall but thankfully I was not hit by that damn car!  After that fall…..let’s just say I steer clear of steep hills and places with lots of cars.

I’m not one for tricks either so I kinda just like to cruise.  On the weekends during the spring and summer months the hubby, kids and I love to cruise the Beltline in Atlanta because there are several miles you can ride including a skate park.  Yesterday it was 75 degrees so went to the Beltline to ride our boards  Of course we took pictures too!  By the way my “HOLA” tee is from my own boutique and you get on the website or via our Amazon store

I also got to wear my cute new macrame bag.  Boho styles are my absolute favorite and this bag is totally a summer/spring staple.  I was a recent budget find in Forever 21 and it still available!  I originally bought a similar style bag in Nordstrom but ended up returning it only because I wanted a neutral color bag that would go with everything and then I found this gem!

The only crazy thing about this hobby is that I actually don’t even own a skateboard.  Imagine that.  I usually borrow one of my kids boards and we just take turns.  So if any skateboard companies out there would like to sponsor a blog post….holla atcha girl!
