You guys we have a new house!!!!! I feel like this day would never come but it finally has and we are finally out of our old home that flooded. Thank God. This is also part of the reason I have been a bit absent on social media. I cannot talk about that right now though. Some of you may already know and that’s ok….I just don’t want to put to much out there on the blog just yet. One thing I’m really excited about is the kitchen design. This was one of the most important elements for me. We purchased a new construction home (D.R. Horton “Ryan Model”) however it was pretty much completed as soon as we found it so we really didn’t go through the design process with the builder. Because of that we didn’t get to change much in the home before moving in and I didn’t get my white kitchen.
Currently the kitchen design is an espresso finish, but still beautiful. Down the road we will paint it white though. Right now we really just need to purchase a round table for our eat-in kitchen. I want to get a glass top table or even a wood table that I can add a glass topper to protect it from the kids….because MAN they are rough on furniture! We have found several tables we like, and some we absolutely love however we are still undecided. It’s hard have Restoration Hardware taste on a Target budget! Totally first world problems I know! As far as the decor, I plan to keep it neutral and just add a few color pops with plants and dishes. I love bringing the outdoors inside with foliage. That was a trait that I got from my Dad. I plan to add faux plants all over the house like this adorable olive tree/plant from Joss & Main. I may even a real lemon tree! Feel free to comment if you have any suggestions on round dining room tables too!

Love the shape of the table. We have a triangle shaped dining room table that we’ve had for almost 7 years. We eventually want to get a new table, but haven’t found the right one yet. Love the pop of blue you picked in the tray and placemat.
